Features: It wasn't just a pile of children's bones. Before they were brought to light, they had been buried underground for over twenty years. The numerous wounds on them showed that the poor children had suffered long-term abuse before their deaths. But apart from the detective Harry Bosch who took on the case, no one truly cared about the child. The media, eager for material to hype, bribed police officers who knew the inside story, regardless of how much they hindered the investigation. Inside the police department, the higher-ups rushed to wrap up the case carelessly, while Bosch's rivals went to great lengths to set obstacles in his way, hoping to trip him up in this case.
