Features: Identity, although a highly subjective concept, is not something that arises out of thin air. Its formation is influenced by both conceptual factors such as culture and values, as well as interactions and practices of the actors involved. Whether it is the identity recognition of the actors or their identification with ideas, it is a product of a certain level of productive forces and specific modes of production, while also being shaped by historical experiences, cultural traditions, values, religion, social and political systems, and reflecting the power structures and nature both domestically and internationally. In this sense, identity is a concept that simultaneously unites material and ideas, history and reality, and the relationship between the self and the other. Therefore, using this concept to examine international cooperation can be a beneficial approach. This book explores the significance of identity for international cooperation, starting from its connotation and construction process. The author points out that a positive identity can build cooperative relationships and embed the idea of cooperation deeply, which in turn reinforces positive identity and further promotes the development of international cooperation. Identity and cooperation are internalized and spiral upwards in interaction, thereby elevating international cooperation to a higher level.
