Features: This book has been reprinted multiple times since its first publication and has been well-received by. It has also received many valuable suggestions and comments, which have guided our revisions. During the revision process, the structure of the version remained unchanged. The principles followed for the revision were: refining text, adjusting inappropriate content, simplifying theoretical discussions, and appropriately reducing difficulty to better highlight the characteristics of vocational education. The main changes in this revision include: 1. Appropriately adjusting the depth and breadth of some content based on the educational characteristics of vocational colleges, removing the abstract concept of electron cloud probability density, and simplifying the balancing of redox reaction equations. 2. Emphasizing the connection with related courses and avoiding content repetition, removing the practical use of volumetric flasks in solution preparation and the chapter on "Titration Analysis." The book no longer introduces the production process of soda ash. 3. For the convenience of student experiments, the book no longer includes student experiment content, opting instead for a separate chemical experiment textbook. 4. To facilitate teaching, answers to calculation problems in the exercises are provided for reference; some "Reading Materials" have been updated. 5. Focusing on enhancing students' active learning, the "Chapter Summary" is now assigned to students to complete based on the "Learning Objectives" of each chapter. This book is based on the teaching plan for higher vocational education in chemical technology majors and the teaching for inorganic chemistry formulated by the National Petrochemical Industry Vocational Education Teaching Guidance Committee. Its content includes fundamental chemical quantities, chemical calculations, chemical equilibrium, acid-base reactions, precipitation reactions, redox reactions, coordination reactions, atomic structure, molecular structure, as well as the properties, preparation, and applications of elements and their compounds. This book can serve as a textbook and main reference for inorganic chemistry courses in higher vocational education.
