Features: Fables have evolved into a literary genre. Fables are stories that convey satire and educational meaning. The protagonists in these stories can be humans, animals, or inanimate objects. Their expressions can take various forms—such as using the past to illustrate the present, using objects to represent people, or using the small to symbolize the large—transmitting profound truths through vivid and simple tales. The term "fable" first appears in the Zhuangzi text, specifically in the chapter "Yulun" ("Fable"): "Nineteen out of ten fables employ external references to argue a point," and in the chapter "Tianxia" ("World"): "Relying on authoritative words for truth, relying on fables for breadth." The former highlights the technique of using external elements to establish arguments, while the latter regards fables as tools for conveying ideas. When we face this busy world, ancient fable stories continue to offer us the deepest inspiration.
