Features: In the past decade, a large number of local power plants, industrial self-provided power plants, and thermal power plants with 6–100 MW thermal power generation units have been put into operation. The number of new employees and production personnel in operational positions has rapidly increased. To improve technical training and skill assessment for operational personnel, experts have comprehensively revised and published the second edition of the "Technical Skill Assessment Question Bank for Local Power Plant Operators" in accordance with the Ministry's regulations, including the "National Occupational Skill Assessment Specification for the Power Industry," "Technical Skill Level Standards for Power Workers," and "Operating Position Standards for Thermal Power Plants," as well as operational procedures. The revision emphasizes key job responsibilities, focuses on operational skills, and facilitates assessment and training. The question bank is divided into five volumes: Boiler Operation, Steam Turbine Operation, Electrical Operation, Thermal Control and Operation, and Power Plant Chemistry, and is designed to be used in conjunction with the "Operating Training Textbook for Local Power Plant Positions (Second Edition)." This book is the "Technical Skill Assessment Question Bank for Local Power Plant Operators (Second Edition) - Thermal Control and Operation," which is divided into four chapters. The specific content includes:
- Public Foundation: Electrical Fundamentals, Electronic Circuits, and Principles of Measurement Error;
- Thermal Instrumentation: Measurement Principles, Operation and Maintenance, and Fault Handling for Pressure, Flow, Temperature, and Analytical Instruments;
- Thermal Automatic Devices: Control Principles, Control Equipment, and Control Systems;
- Thermal Engineering Control and Protection: Boiler and Steam Turbine Protection Devices and Thermal Signals.
The content of the book is extensive and highlights key areas, written according to the three skill levels—initial, intermediate, and advanced—for the Thermal Control and Operation position. It includes five types of questions: fill-in-the-blank, true/false, multiple-choice, calculation, and short-answer questions, with answers provided. This book serves as the basis for assessing and certifying the job skills and occupational skills of production personnel, workers, technicians, management personnel, and students majoring in thermal control and operation in local power plants, industrial self-provided power plants, and thermal power plants with 6–100 MW thermal power generation units. It is used for training, skill certification, and technical level promotion.
