Features: Orchids are symbols of beauty, the crystallization of beauty, the elevation of beauty, and the carrier of beauty. They enchant with their fragrant blossoms, delight with their graceful flowers, move with their elegant leaves, refine with their noble charm, and please with their magical medicinal properties. Thus, they have been cherished by generations and even regarded as a second companion in life, meticulously cultivated. Although orchids are carriers of beauty, they are lifeless, high-end ornamental plants that cannot speak. Though they are herbaceous plants, they do not possess the tenacious resilience of common weeds, which can withstand fire and wind. Especially after artificial cultivation, their resilience naturally diminishes. They often fail to thrive due to ecological unsuitability or improper care, and may even gradually wither and die. Despite their challenging cultivation, orchid enthusiasts do not become discouraged by occasional setbacks and continue to strive and explore tirelessly. I have been growing orchids since my youth until my advanced age, experiencing all the joys and sorrows. To encourage collective research, in addition to sharing my insights through floral publications in the late 1980s, I took three months five years ago to compile "600 Questions on Orchid Appreciation and Cultivation." Since its publication, it has been reprinted nine times. It has won the deep appreciation of orchid enthusiasts and has also attracted numerous letters and calls from them, engaging in discussions on orchid cultivation techniques and raising new questions, with the hope of elevating and expanding it into "A Thousand Questions on Orchid Cultivation."
