What medications should be taken for chronic superficial gastritis?

Patient's question:

I am male, nineteen, and have chronic superficial gastritis for over a year now. I have taken many medications, but they haven't helped much. My symptoms include: upper abdominal pain, belching, and poor sleep at night. What kind of medicine should someone like me take?

Doctor's answer:

Generally, ranitidine combined with gentamicin can be used orally to treat chronic superficial gastritis, with good efficacy, few side effects, and a low recurrence rate.
Gentamicin tablets: Take 2 tablets each time, 3 times a day, for 3 weeks. If some patients experience upper abdominal discomfort after taking gentamicin, kanamycin can be used instead: 0.5 grams each time, 2 times a day orally.
If the patient has significant upper abdominal pain, 654-2 or nitrendipine can be added. Once the pain is relieved, discontinue use. For patients with significant upper abdominal fullness, take lactase enzyme (1.5–3.0 grams each time, 3 times a day) for the first 3 days, followed by ranitidine combined with gentamicin.
When accompanied by indigestion, combine with multi-enzyme tablets during the first week.
