Features: This book features 730 precious late Qing postcards, dating back to around 1900. With ancient Qing Dynasty images as the main theme, it includes opium smokers lounging on smoking couches, women with bound feet, lower-class sedan bearers, and rickshaw pullers. Through the author's interpretation, these postcards, laden with Chinese imagery and Eastern scenes, were sent from various treaty ports in China by Western travelers, merchants, diplomats, and missionaries. The postal postcards in the album were sold in Russia, Japan, and China in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and are now part of the collection of the Historical Museum at the National University of Far Eastern Technology (B. B. Gubkin Far Eastern Multidisciplinary Institute).
