Features: This book is designed for beginners of Korean. It is divided into two parts: "Text and Pronunciation" and "Dialogue and Grammar." The book has the following features: In the "Text and Pronunciation" section (Lessons 1-7), instead of forcing students to memorize the 21 vowels and 19 consonants (a total of 40 letters) by rote, the author's unique teaching method requires students to remember only 9 vowels and 10 consonants (a total of 19 letters) (Lessons 2 and 3). The remaining 21 letters can be easily mastered by understanding their letter structures. In the "Dialogue and Grammar" section, pronunciations are marked, and examples are provided to explain the subtle phonetic changes in Korean. It is hoped that readers will have a solid understanding of these changes before moving to the next stage. As for the pronunciation marking system, since using Chinese characters is difficult, we have adopted phonetic symbols. It is hoped that readers will practice repeatedly to master pronunciation using Korean characters. In the "Dialogue and Grammar" section, it is organized in the order of dialogue, notes, and exercises. The dialogue section focuses on spoken language, with content based on practical conversations commonly used in daily life. The notes section uses abundant examples to explain the new grammar introduced in each lesson. It is hoped that readers will fully understand the notes before moving on to the exercises section. In addition to "Exercise Answers" and "Vocabulary Index," the appendix also includes "Combination Table of Basic Vowels and Basic Consonants" and "Phonetic Change Rules."
