Features: This book has the following characteristics:
1. Diverse forms of guidance for reading and writing, progressively improving abilities. Each volume of this textbook series generally includes 10 to 16 lessons. Lower grades focus on speaking and writing short passages; middle and upper grades include both composition and reading. Composition lessons cover topics such as "Content Requirements, Sample Analysis, Thinking and Writing Practice, Explanation and Training, Discussion and Revision, Composition Guidance, Reading and Imitation, Model Paper Review, and Excellent Work Appreciation." Depending on needs, each lesson typically includes four of these components.
2. Consolidating school learning content while exceeding school learning requirements. The book's editors thoroughly studied the "Chinese Language Curriculum Standards" to determine the learning requirements, composition content, and training focus for each grade level at our school. During the writing process, they paid full attention to oral communication and composition training requirements, enabling students to significantly improve their reading skills and writing proficiency based on their existing foundation. While consolidating school learning content, they appropriately added knowledge points and provided slightly advanced training.
3. Following the principles of composition, helping students accumulate materials. Composition materials come from life, and the textbook series includes practical activities and post-activity reflective essays. The purpose is to broaden students' experiences, help them perceive things, enhance their understanding, accumulate composition materials, and provide them with topics to write about.
4. Learning composition through reading, integrating reading and writing. From reading to writing is a fundamental principle of composition. The textbook series includes components such as "Sample Analysis," "Reading and Imitation," "Model Paper Review," and "Excellent Work Appreciation," reflecting the idea of learning to write through reading and combining the two. Students can learn observation, accumulation, and writing techniques from exquisite articles and outstanding compositions.
5. Teaching knowledge and methods, combining guidance with practice. This textbook series emphasizes the balance between theory and practice, teaching methods to cultivate abilities. In topics such as "Content Requirements," "Explanation and Training," "Composition Guidance," "Thinking and Writing Practice," and "Discussion and Revision," relevant knowledge is explained based on training objectives, writing methods are taught, and exercises are conducted in the textbook, gradually forming abilities. Therefore, the book also serves some functions of a workbook.
6. Strengthening oral training, combining spoken and written expression. Whether one can express their observations, feelings, and imagination through speech or writing reflects their language proficiency. In addition to "Speaking" lessons in lower grades, other grades include appropriate oral exercises, demonstrating the process of writing from speaking. This trains students to articulate their observations clearly and express their thoughts.
