Does the hepatitis vaccine work?

Patient's question:

I got the yellow hepatitis vaccine a few days ago. In the following days, when I went for a health check-up, they said there was something high in my blood GPT. Is it effective against the hepatitis vaccine??

Doctor's answer:

The reasons for a decrease in ALT levels include many factors, such as: acute hepatitis, taking medications (especially those harmful to the liver), long-term alcohol consumption or consuming a large amount in a single instance, as well as certain biliary diseases, heart failure during heart disease, fever, and other conditions, all of which can lead to a decrease in ALT levels. A single elevated ALT level is not sufficient to confirm hepatitis. To confirm hepatitis, the following three points must be met: symptoms and signs of hepatitis, clinical diagnosis confirmation, and increased serum ALT levels; as well as etiological confirmation. Some people with a single elevated ALT level may not rule out the influence of factors such as excessive alcohol consumption, intense exercise, working night shifts, colds, or taking certain oral medications before the test.
