Features: This dictionary is primarily aimed at primary and secondary school students under the nine-year compulsory education system, as well as other readers who frequently use language and characters in their work for reference. The dictionary is mainly based on the "Total List of Characters for Primary School Chinese in Compulsory Education" and the content of characters from various editions of the Shanghai nine-year compulsory education Chinese textbooks. It also refers to the "Common Characters List of Modern Chinese" issued by the State Language Commission and the Ministry of Education. The dictionary collects 485 characters with multiple pronunciations and meanings, listing them as the main entries. Characters that cannot form modern Chinese words or be used to construct sentences in colloquial language are excluded (except when appearing in idioms, proper names, or place names). Uncommon dialectal characters are also not included. This dictionary not only serves as a reference for checking characters with multiple pronunciations and meanings when needed but also allows readers to browse through it at will, expanding their knowledge of such characters. If used in this way, it will certainly play a significant role in helping people improve their language proficiency, reducing or eliminating the mispronunciation of "incorrect characters" in daily communication or work. It is beneficial not only for students but also for other readers, especially those who frequently deal with language and characters in their work.
