Can facial paralysis and asymmetry be recovered?

Patient's question:

Now I realize I have facial paralysis and asymmetry. I don't know if it can be improved, hello can facial paralysis and asymmetry be completely restored?

Doctor's answer:

Bell's palsy presents with asymmetry of facial size. Currently, the cause of Bell's palsy has not been confirmed. A head CT should be performed for a thorough examination to rule out intracranial inflammation-induced facial paralysis. If it is solely caused by facial nerve inflammation, corticosteroids can be used in the early stages to control the facial paralysis. If it is not in the early stage, physical therapy should be coordinated for the treatment of facial paralysis. Additionally, nerve-nourishing medications such as vitamin B12 and methylcobalamin should be used to promote recovery.
