This result is not known whether it is hepatitis B?

Patient's question:

Hello doctor, my mom's hepatitis B surface antigen test result today was 245, and the hepatitis B e antibody was 412. The hepatitis B core antibody was negative.
Is this a case of hepatitis B virus infection? I previously had a history of chronic hepatitis B (), but now I have these test results and am unsure if it's hepatitis B. Please advise! Thank you!!

Doctor's answer:

You mean hepatitis B has improved but not fully recovered. After hepatitis B infection, the virus remains in the body. During the non-relapse period, it's still important to monitor liver function tests carefully. Avoid smoking and alcohol. If a recurrence occurs, timely antiviral treatment is necessary. There are many treatment methods for hepatitis B, but since patients' conditions vary, the treatment approaches differ. Therefore, patients need to be diagnosed as soon as possible to receive appropriate treatment.
