Patient's question:
It has been 5 days since I got the yellow fever vaccine. Can I get the hepatitis B vaccine now? Because I have to go back to my home country soon to do some part-time work.Doctor's answer:
The yellow fever vaccine can be administered concurrently with polio vaccines (oral or inactivated). It can also be given together with anesthetic vaccines such as measles vaccine, BCG (Gateff et al., 1973), DTP, and hepatitis A and B vaccines (BYvonnet et al., 1986) (without using the same syringe), without interfering with the immunogenicity of these vaccines or enhancing the immune response to their components. Multiple studies have demonstrated that administering measles and yellow fever vaccines together in the same syringe produces the same antibody titers as when these vaccines are administered separately.
