Features: This book originated from the series "Forgotten Dynasties" on CCTV Channel One's "Journey of Discovery" program. The series, organized chronologically, introduces the pursuit of a lost ancient Chinese dynasty that vanished three thousand years ago by Chinese scholars over a century since the discovery of oracle bones. This booklet follows the same chronological structure, with the addition of a chapter titled "The Mad Guessing Game" on the early deciphering of oracle bone script. The chapters are mostly aligned with the TV program. This book is not an academic work; it focuses more on the "process of discovery." In the writing process, efforts have been made to remove complex and obscure textual research, while introducing more content that reflects "curiosity." It is believed that readers will surely appreciate this during their reading.
