Features: As the day of China's entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO) approaches, the "WTO fever" (also known as the "GATT fever" that has risen and fallen several times since 1986) has re-emerged. This time, however, the "fever" is mixed with "coolness," as there is more theoretical discussion and writing in a more calm manner. This is particularly true regarding the "Intellectual Property Agreement" of the WTO and related issues. The internet era has brought challenges to intellectual property enforcement, a topic that has been discussed in articles published in this series and the Journal of Intellectual Property Research. Due to the increasing frequency of encountering this issue in judicial practice, its importance is becoming more evident. The article by Feng Wensheng in this volume provides a more systematic analysis of this issue and proposes some of his own solutions. With China's further opening-up, the "Private International Law Codex" may eventually be proposed as part of legislative content. It is hoped that this article will provide some reference value or inspiration for the formulation of private international law in China.
