Does the HepA vaccine have any side effects?

Patient's question:

My son is 1 year and 8 months old. On November 25th, he received the HepA vaccine under anesthesia. Around 8 PM that evening, he started experiencing dry coughing and fever again. He vomited everything he ate and even water.

Doctor's answer:

8 months, November 25, anesthesia HepA vaccine that night around 8 o'clock, nausea and fever reappeared. This is a normal reaction to the side effects of the HepA vaccine: mild pain at the vaccination site, local redness, swelling, and hard lumps. Less than 5% of HepA vaccine recipients experience systemic reactions, including headache (1 in 20 children), fever, nausea, and loss of appetite. Actually, getting Hepatitis A is not scary. Patients should believe they can overcome the illness. As long as symptoms are detected in time and treated accordingly, the chances of stabilizing the condition and recovering are very high.
