Is this hand, foot, and mouth disease?

Patient's question:

My child has recently developed red spots on their hands, feet, buttocks, arms, and legs again. A while later, I noticed that they had started to pus. The child is now in great pain, and seeing it makes my heart ache. I almost want to take her place and suffer for her. I was thinking of asking the doctor if this could be hand, foot, and mouth disease?

Doctor's answer:

This may not necessarily be caused by hand, foot, and mouth disease, as hand, foot, and mouth disease usually appears with many white spots. It's better to go to the hospital for a thorough check-up to see what might be causing it. It's likely to be caused by allergies or eczema, and many topical creams can be used for treatment. In terms of diet, avoid eating a lot of seafood and spicy, irritating foods, as this may help alleviate the condition.
