Features: Chinese children living in the information age are immersed in the ocean of Chinese characters and the Chinese language from the moment they are born, constantly exposed to them. New research in neuroscience, life science, and cognitive science shows that early recognition of Chinese characters and words, and the early development of language skills, is not only possible but also essential. Practice has proven that the period of 3–6 years is the optimal time for recognizing Chinese characters. Failing to utilize this golden period results in significant loss and inevitably hinders the national goal of cultivating young, high-quality talent at an early age. From this scientific perspective, we have planned and compiled this series of "Early Recognition" books.
The "Early Recognition" series is a read-aloud book for both teachers and students, as well as parents and children, designed for use by kindergarten teachers and parents in tandem. Teachers and parents can fully utilize the environmental settings provided in the book's illustrations while also creating a campus and home environment that recognizes Chinese characters. Appropriately leveraging community environments for interaction with children can help achieve the desired recognition effects subtly.
This volume, "The World of Biology," guides young children to recognize various animals and plants through rhymes, riddles, stories, and vivid illustrations, such as domestic poultry, birds, insects, wild animals, fruits, vegetables, flowers, and trees. It helps children open the door to the world of flora and fauna, sparking their interest in different types of plants and animals. By observing their characteristics and habits, children come to understand that plants and animals are friends to humans, fostering their initial awareness of environmental protection.
