Features: Sketch Learning has already published 3 issues. For many years, it has been rooted in the basic teaching and research of art colleges, serving the learning and research of sketch language with a scientific, simple, and pragmatic attitude, thus winning the favor of a broad readership. While maintaining its original characteristics, this issue (Issue 4) presents a brand-new look. It has increased the size of the format, added more content, replaced the paper to improve printing quality, resulting in clearer images and richer tonal layers. These improvements will further benefit your learning and research. This issue is divided into 5 books based on themes, plus one book on Exam Techniques, each featuring a selection of outstanding works from recent years in sketch learning and creation (excellent works from the previous 3 issues are not included in this issue). They are primarily selected from the works of students and teaching staff of various art colleges, with many of them created by renowned artists. Almost every piece is accompanied by insightful comments from the artists themselves or experts. Additionally, each book includes selected articles by college teachers, introducing methods and principles of sketch learning and research. Through this visual and textual learning experience, you can gain many valuable ideas and inspirations. To facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the works in the book, we have provided as much information as possible for each piece, including the materials used, specifications, etc. However, for conventional materials such as pencils, charcoal sticks, and sketch paper, which are not specially mentioned by the contributors, we have not listed them individually. Please note this. We hope you continue to love sketching and love Sketch Learning as always. Finally, let us share a quote from the renowned painter Yang Feiyun: “A person who dedicates their life to painting should always maintain a state of fascination and passionate love for sketching.”
