Features: To help more people understand the uniqueness of archives, the compilers have collected and organized examples of the use of archives by various units in the water resources system since the reform and opening-up. They strive to reflect the value and role of archives as a special medium from different angles, in multiple aspects, and in a vivid manner through these detailed cases. This aims to further enhance the awareness of archival work among relevant departments, encouraging leaders and professional technical personnel at all levels to pay more attention to the formation, accumulation, and archiving of archives in practical work, and to better understand and support archival work. The book features 425 examples of archival use, divided into ten chapters: Leadership Decision-Making, Flood Control and Drought Relief, Water Conservancy Projects, River Governance, Urban Construction, Daily Management, Protecting Rights and Interests, Scientific Research, Literature Compilation, and Publicity and Education. All manuscripts selected for the examples were reviewed by the respective units. The calculation of the economic benefits derived from the examples primarily follows the "Regulations on the Calculation of Economic Benefits Created by the Development and Utilization of Scientific and Technological Archives" ([1994]13) issued by the National Archives Administration.
