Features: As a global leading enterprise management software supplier, SAP has a customer base that includes many world-renowned companies and a vast professional readership. Over 20,000 companies in more than 120 countries are currently running over 64,500 sets of SAP software. SAP has branches in over 50 countries worldwide and is listed on multiple stock exchanges, including the New York Stock Exchange and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Since entering the Chinese market in 1992, more than 400 companies from various industries have been using SAP's solutions. In this book, "enterprises of the 21st century" refer to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with annual revenues between $50 million and $1 billion. In recent years, most of the top 1,000 companies listed in Fortune have already implemented SAP or similar products. Therefore, the growth of the ERP market in the 21st century will primarily come from SMEs. That's why we call SMEs "enterprises of the 21st century." Readers should keep this concept in mind while reading this book, as some of the methods mentioned may seem contrary to the usual practices of ERP implementation so far. For example, many SAP consultants believe that SAP implementation after 2000 is no different from previous SAP projects that required 70 to 100 people to participate, whereas in fact, 21st-century SAP implementation does not require 100 people to be involved.
