Children's Publishing House has recently launched a book featuring the film version of Sam the Barefoot. This book is a film montage of the 1949 movie Sam the Barefoot, collecting nearly 400 stunning scenes from the classic film. Readers will learn from the book: how the comic Sam the Barefoot came into existence; how the "big-nosed" and "three-hair" characters were created; and how over 50 film legends like Shangguan Yunzhu, Zhao Dan, Wu Jin, etc., took minor roles in Sam the Barefoot. Additionally, among the 19 full-body wax figures of representative film characters displayed in the China Film Museum, there is a wax figure of Sam.
