On one hand, these forms of education cannot have an ethical effect on children before the age of 8, yet only with excellent ethical morality can a person become a true and complete individual. On the other hand, these educational methods are extremely easy to forget or change. These foundational "flour" will be influenced by too many additives like "yeast," "sugar," "milk powder," "eggs," "salt," "citric acid," "hydrogenated vegetable oil," "emulsifiers," "flavors," and "colors" through various baking times and methods, ultimately shaping various "products." Moreover, our children are not Edison, Newton, Michurin, the six-year-old child prodigy, the nine-dan Go player, Watt, Einstein, or Zhang Xueliang, nor are we their parents. Most parents' mindset should already or should return to a "normal heart." Language is the container of thought and culture. ([British] Torrance, China Renmin University Press, October 2003, The Science of Theology page 1) The true beginning of nurturing a child's independent thinking is when they start expressing their thoughts through writing (i.e., written language). Because using words requires internalizing feelings and refining them, this is the process of thinking, this is the process of reinforcement, and this is the process of moral and value orientation. The earliest use of written language to express thoughts occurs in the second grade, which is around the age of 8. In the first grade, children learn characters, words, and sentences, while in the second grade, they begin activities like "writing stories based on pictures" and keeping diaries. At the age of 8, as children physically grow daily and their sensory abilities strengthen, especially with the guidance of professional teachers, through internalization and reinforcement, children begin to write. This marks the starting point for their thinking to take off and the beginning of their thoughts forming. As Wang Shangwen, the leader of the third wave of Chinese language education reform, said: "Sensation is the starting point of thinking. Without sensation, there is no thinking, and thus sensation is the mother of knowledge." He also said: "The human mind, human relationships, human activities, and human society are intertwined with language from the very beginning. People think, live, communicate, interact, labor, create, and look forward in language. All human abilities are based on and centered around language skills. Language can only express the characteristics that make humans human." From this point on, the ideological connection between two generations, as well as between the child and their surrounding social environment, begins to establish. Human emotions, experiences, and practices become particularly important and profound at this time, and a child's inspiration, desires, and pleasure are especially stimulated, guided, and influenced. Thus, writing is no longer just writing—it is the beginning of their independent thoughts. 18
