Can epilepsy seizures be prevented?

Patient's question:

A new colleague has recently joined our company. He looks very honest and doesn't talk much. However, yesterday, he suddenly had a full-body seizure and foamed at the mouth. We immediately called 120 for emergency rescue. The doctor examined him and said it was epilepsy. Later, I felt very sad and wanted to know if there is a way to prevent epilepsy from recurring?

Doctor's answer:

Whether a recurrence of epilepsy can be prevented also varies from person to person. However, before a recurrence, some people may experience certain premonitory signs. For example, some may suddenly stop their hand movements, stare blankly, or become stiff. They may also foam at the mouth or have convulsions all over the body. If these symptoms reoccur, the first step is to receive timely treatment to prevent further risks associated with epilepsy.
