Features: With the advent of an aging society in China, the demand for healthcare and wellness among the elderly is growing. Popularizing traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) health knowledge among the elderly, enabling them to have a correct understanding of the onset, treatment, and recovery of common elderly diseases, and cooperate with doctors in treatment, is highly meaningful for eliminating illnesses, achieving early recovery, delaying aging, and promoting health and longevity. In light of this, the editors have comprehensively revised the manuscript, focusing on TCM's unique methods for maintaining health and preventing illness, while integrating the latest advancements in modern medical diagnosis and treatment of elderly diseases. The book systematically introduces knowledge on the treatment and care of elderly diseases. The length of the original manuscript has been significantly reduced, and the selection of diseases has been streamlined, with a focus on introducing the diagnosis, treatment, and health care methods for 14 common elderly diseases. New data has been added to relevant content, and emphasis is placed on self-care measures for patients. Some more specialized treatment methods, such as acupuncture and massage, have been removed, while some medicinal diet and dish recipes have been categorized and optimized to highlight their simplicity, practicality, and ease of implementation. At the same time, most of the content from the original book's first part is retained to introduce an overview of TCM's approach to treating elderly diseases, showcasing the unique characteristics and advantages of TCM in elderly health and wellness. Some parts of the original content and their order have been further adjusted, and most titles have been rewritten to make them more concise, eye-catching, and easy to understand.
