Features: The novel avoids epic of the Long March and takes a different approach by focusing on the Red Tenth Army as the entry point to the theme of the Long March. Through humanized and ordinary descriptions, it vividly portrays the images of Red Army leaders such as Fang Zhimin, Xin Huazhou, Su Yu, Liu Chaoxi, and Le Shaohua, and promotes the spirit of the Long March—willing to dedicate oneself for the future of the nation and the fate of the people.
