Features: The issue of government integrity has become a major and practical concern for all sectors of society. This book starts with the concept of "government integrity," which holds a shared meaning, and focuses on the theme of "Contemporary Chinese Government Integrity Construction." It aims to construct an ideal model of government integrity construction suitable for the Chinese context.
The book consists of an introduction and six chapters. The introduction begins with the reality of the call for integrity construction in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, primarily clarifying the contemporary value and domestic and international status of government integrity research. The six chapters of the main text are divided into three modules: Theoretical Entry (Chapter 1), Reality (Chapter 2), and Construction (Chapters 3, 4, 5, and 6).
The Theoretical Module starts by analyzing the fundamental concepts of government integrity, which hold a shared meaning, and delves into the essence, structure, function, and main historical forms of government integrity, seeking to preliminarily clarify the conceptual outline of government integrity. The Reality Module examines the main manifestations, causes, and challenges of the lack of government integrity in contemporary China from a specific perspective. The Construction Module proposes basic ideas and countermeasures for the integrity construction of contemporary Chinese government from the perspectives of value concepts, institutional choices, and government-citizen interaction. It also takes the "81890" phenomenon as a case study to explore the experience and prospects of government integrity construction in contemporary China in building a harmonious socialist society, which is the main focus and conclusion of this book.
