Features: This series of books was compiled in accordance with the planning for the compilation and publication of historical materials on the history of the Communist Party of China by the Research Institute of the History of the CPC Central Committee, after being approved by the Research Institute of the History of the CPC Central Committee, the Leading Group of the CPC Central Committee, and the Central Leaders. The series is divided into four volumes: the Comprehensive Volume, the Volume of the North Central Committee Period, the Volume of the Period of the Land Revolution War, and the Volume of the Period of the Anti-Japanese War. Each volume focuses on reflecting the historical activities of the North Central Committee and its predecessor organizations, secondly the important historical activities of the Party organizations at various levels in the northern region, and also reflects the leadership of the CPC Central Committee over the North Central Committee and the Party organizations at various levels in the northern region. The Comprehensive Volume consists of four parts: overview, historical evolution of organizational structures and list of leaders, biographies of important historical figures in the Party history, and chronological table of major events; the other three volumes are composed of overview, selected documents, selected newspaper articles, memoirs, special research materials, etc., and include several important historical photographs and comprehensive charts. The overview sections of each volume mainly record the institutional changes, important decisions, major activities, and historical roles of the North Central Committee and its predecessor organizations during each period. The selected documents section mainly selects important instructions, decisions, resolutions, work reports, work summaries, important speeches, and articles on the Party work in the northern region by the CPC Central Committee, central leaders, leaders of the North Central Committee, and Beijing Bureau during each period. The selected documents are arranged in chronological order according to the time of their formation.
