Features: This book employs the method of ontological segmentation to analyze human ontology and proposes a novel interpretation of the political process of ethics (i.e., the broad moralization) from the perspective of historical formation. The state has a decisive influence on the formation of moral life. By promoting the separation of the public and private spheres, the state and society, and morality and ethics, a legitimized moral life is formed. The state achieves moral intervention through moral intervention in organizations, moral intervention in power, and moral intervention in means. During the intervention process, the state's moral function emerges. This function includes constructing moral order, alleviating moral crises, advancing moral transformation, establishing moral institutions, allocating primary norms, and distributing moral benefits. This function is established through primary institutions. The state's intervention in morality includes two response modes: "obedience and disobedience." In the transition from traditional moral life to modern moral life, traditional Marxist ethics should transform into modern moral science, with a special systematic exploration of the relationship between the modern state and modern morality, and the construction of a new moral system.
