Features: Since the 21st century, China's modern manufacturing industry has developed rapidly. With technological innovation and market demand, the requirements for product processing technology have become increasingly high. However, the low quality of laborers and the shortage of skilled workers, especially senior skilled workers, have become prominent issues restricting the development of China's manufacturing industry. To address this contradiction, the State Council issued the "Decision of the State Council on Vigorously Developing Vocational Education" in 2005, establishing the goal of "training 1.9 million technicians and senior technicians, and 7 million senior skilled workers within five years across the country, while promoting the tiered development of intermediate and primary skilled laborers." In this context, to advance the construction of vocational education in China and strengthen the cultivation of high-quality and highly skilled professionals, we have revised the mechanical textbooks for advanced technical secondary schools and senior worker training published since 1999, and developed some new textbooks based on these revisions. This series of textbooks includes: "Professional Mathematics (Second Edition)," "Mechanical Drawing (Second Edition)," "Computer Application Technology," "Limit Fits and Technical Measurement (Third Edition)," "Mechanisms and Parts (Third Edition)," "Hydraulic Technology (Third Edition)," "Metal Cutting Principles and Tool Technology (Third Edition)," "Mechanical Manufacturing Technology and Equipment (Second Edition)," "Machine Tool Clamping Devices (Third Edition)," "Machine Tool Electrical Control," "Numerical Control Technology," "Advanced Turning Technology and Skill Training," "Advanced Fitting Technology and Skill Training," "Advanced Milling Technology and Skill Training," "Advanced Welding Technology and Skill Training," "Mold Manufacturing Technology and Skill Training," "Advanced Machine Repair Fitting Technology and Skill Training," "Advanced Grinding Technology and Skill Training," and "Advanced Cold Working Technology and Skill Training." In the future, we will continue to develop other textbooks. During the writing process of this series of textbooks, we have consistently adhered to the following basic principles: First, starting from actual production, we reasonably arrange the knowledge and skill structure of the textbooks, emphasizing skill development while discarding theoretical knowledge that is "complex, difficult, biased, and outdated." Second, based on relevant national vocational standards, we ensure that the knowledge content and skill levels meet national vocational certification standards. Third, we introduce new technologies and processes, reflecting the new standards and trends in the industry, while discarding outdated technologies to broaden the knowledge horizons of technical professionals. Fourth, in terms of structural arrangement and expression methods, we emphasize a gradual and progressive approach, striving for a richly illustrated and comprehensive presentation.
