Features: We used to play the "Magic Square" game when we were kids, where you fill in numbers in nine squares so that the sums of the rows, columns, and diagonals are the same. Sudoku looks somewhat like "Magic Square" at first glance, but the gameplay is quite different. If "Magic Square" is a mathematical game, Sudoku doesn't require any mathematical skills—it requires logical reasoning. The rules of Sudoku are simple: fill in the appropriate numbers in a 9x9 grid so that each row, each column, and each 3x3 box (the part enclosed by thick lines) contains the numbers 1 to 9 without repetition. Some numbers are pre-filled in the grid as hints, and the number of given numbers determines the difficulty of Sudoku. Since 2005, Sudoku has become wildly popular in Western countries. Major newspapers like The New York Times, The Times, and The Daily Mail have all started Sudoku columns, and millions of people have since become obsessed with this "amazing reasoning game." The UK government is recently preparing to introduce Sudoku into classrooms as a game for students to exercise their brains, and the famous Oxford University has also held a "Sudoku Programming Competition" as a beneficial initiative to make students' minds more active. Various Sudoku competitions have been held in a big way, gradually spreading from Europe to the global stage. However, Sudoku has also brought some negative effects. The Times in London commented, "Sudoku is a dangerous thing—it can make people forget work and family." A Sudoku enthusiast once left a comment online: "I never thought I would get addicted to it. Nothing makes me think about it as much as this." Therefore, if you don't have self-control, it's best not to easily touch this "dangerous thing"!
The first time you see the term "Sudoku," you might find it very unfamiliar. If you replace it with another term—"Digital Magic Cube," you might recognize it! Sudoku is the "Digital Magic Cube." A newspaper reported that the Digital Magic Cube is a globally popular digital logic reasoning game that has sparked a storm of creativity and has millions of people obsessed with it every day. The game is Oxford University's designated intellectual game. This Sudoku book, sold on Amazon, is powerfully crafted by Will Shortz, the founder of the World Sudoku Association and a gold column editor at The New York Times. It features 100 Sudoku puzzles selected from easy to difficult to help you get started more easily. Sudoku is loved by people from 6 to 99 years old, and it comprehensively trains your logical reasoning skills!
