Prostate biopsy bleeding issue

Patient's question:

Because PSA exceeded 10ng/L, a prostate needle biopsy was performed on June 4th. The symptoms of blood in urine and stool stopped within 3 days after the biopsy. However, on the 6th day after the biopsy, the doctor performed a digital rectal exam, and both doctors did it. The next day after the digital rectal exam, blood was found on the front of the underwear, and brownish blood (not bright red) would flow or drip from the urethra after each bowel movement. As of today, June 20th, this symptom is still present.

Doctor's answer:

Antibiotics can be combined with physical therapy to accelerate the rapid penetration of the drug and achieve the treatment goal quickly. The maintenance principle focuses on a light, easily digestible diet, consuming more vegetables and fruits, and minimizing spicy and stimulating foods. Quit smoking and alcohol to reduce the chance of prostatic congestion. Maintain a normal sex life according to individual circumstances, avoiding both excessive indulgence and abstinence. Avoid holding urine for long periods and promptly treat urinary and genital infections.
