Patient's question:
Started experiencing left testicular pain (dull ache) in early October 2012Lower back pain
Visited the Third Affiliated Hospital of Inner Mongolia Medical University for a color Doppler ultrasound examination
Results showed no issues with the testicles, epididymis, or spermatic cord
Doctor's answer:
Hello: Testicular pain can be broadly categorized into two types: acute persistent pain and chronic recurrent pain. It is often caused by testicular inflammation and injury, with testicular injury typically having a clear history of trauma. Testicular inflammation, apart from hematogenous infection, is more commonly caused by bacteria retrograding from the urethra to the epididymis and testis, leading to epididymitis and orchitis. It can also be seen in cases of post-sexual activity, varicocele, prostatitis, and ureteral stones, among others. It is recommended that you visit a regular hospital's urology department for relevant examinations to clarify the diagnosis and provide symptomatic treatment.
