Features: Jiang Xingcheng devoted his life to teaching, achieving remarkable accomplishments. He had a deep passion for calligraphy art and, for decades, practiced tirelessly, accumulating profound expertise. He began his calligraphy studies with the "Two Wangs" (Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi) and drew upon the strengths of various masters. He was particularly devoted to Zhao Zhen's calligraphy, diligently copying and studying Zhao Mengfu's scripts in regular, running, and cursive styles. He delved into the subtleties of the predecessors' art, capturing their essence and spirit, integrating and mastering techniques within the framework of rules, ultimately forming a style characterized by elegant characters, round brushwork, strict proportions, and a graceful, flowing demeanor. His calligraphy art has long been recognized in the field, with many of his works selected for major encyclopedias and national calligraphy exhibitions, earning numerous awards. He excels particularly in large-scale calligraphy, creating bold characters over one meter in height with immense power and grandeur, earning admiration from fellow calligraphers. In recent years, he has devoted himself to the study and creation of cursive calligraphy, using the "Thousand Characters in Standard Cursive" by Yu Youren as a blueprint. He collected various cursive calligraphy "Thousand Characters" texts, selecting and refining characters, simplifying structures to make them more recognizable, memorable, and writable, while also enhancing aesthetic appeal and practical convenience. The resulting work, Jiang Xingcheng's Calligraphy, is designed to facilitate learning for all.
