Features: There is a pair of couplets that are quite interesting and can be said to reveal the essence of being modest. The upper line reads: "Do," and the lower line reads: "." The horizontal heading is: "Be Modest." Being modest means being "high," while also being "concealed" and unassuming. "High" is the prerequisite for "concealment," and only in this way can one truly be modest. It is this concealment that gives modesty its unique charm. Modest people are not isolated from the world; rather, they maintain their true selves in social interactions. They do not pretend or put on airs, which helps them avoid losing themselves in a world full of temptations. To learn to be modest, one must not be noisy, pretentious, artificial, feigning distress, putting on a show, getting involved in disputes, being disliked, or attracting envy. Even if you believe you are full of talent and more capable than others, you must learn to hide your strengths.
