Features: {A person who chews on vegetable roots can accomplish all things}. The "Liang Gen Tan" (Essays on Vegetables' Roots) written by the Ming Dynasty scholar Hong Yingming is deeply rooted in the essence of life, hence its significant influence and widespread circulation. However, the versions passed down in the world are not the original editions, and the content classification is often inappropriate. This book is based on the Yangzhou Zangjingyuan (Buddhist Scriptures Collection of Yangzhou) edition published in the 13th year of the Guangxu reign (1887), cross-referenced with other versions, and includes 15 maxims absent in domestic versions but found in Japanese transmissions, bringing the total to 541 maxims. It also reclassifies the content into three parts: {Cultivating Virtue and Nurturing Nature}, {Engaging with the World and Handling Affairs}, and {Leisurely Ease and Indifference}. It is currently the version with the most complete chapters, most meticulous collation, and most appropriate classification of the "Liang Gen Tan".
