Features: Assisted reproduction, as an important means of modern medical treatment for infertility, plays a significant role in compensating for traditional natural reproductive methods. While assisted reproduction challenges traditional ethical and moral concepts, it also poses challenges to existing legal systems. This paper employs comparative legal research methods and empirical analysis to conduct an in-depth theoretical study on the main legal issues of assisted reproduction, including the theoretical foundation of assisted reproduction, the legal relationships in assisted reproduction, the legal status of children born through assisted reproduction, the legalization of surrogacy, and the regulation of cloning research. In conjunction with the current legislative status of assisted reproduction in China, this paper identifies its shortcomings and draws on the legislative experience of assisted reproduction from other countries to propose a legislative framework for assisted reproduction law and draft relevant articles. To ensure the safety, effectiveness, and healthy development of assisted reproductive technologies, regulate the application and management of assisted reproduction, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of infertile couples and assisted reproductive women, China should legislate to regulate assisted reproduction.
