What color is normal semen?

Patient's question:

Fewer sperm www.ylrdyy.com

Doctor's answer:

Hello! When first expelled, the semen appears as a jelly-like semi-liquid, with a viscous, milky white appearance containing grayish-white clumps or forming a jelly-like consistency. After about 10–20 minutes, the clumps liquefy on their own, turning into a translucent, cloudy, and thin viscous fluid.
Normal semen is grayish-white or slightly yellowish. If the abstinence period is long, due to changes in physicochemical properties, the color may appear slightly yellow. This is all normal.
