Features: Nowadays, the complexity and scale of software make it exceptionally difficult to write secure, defect-free code, even for experienced programmers. However, our daily work increasingly relies on software, which is now widely used in almost every industry. These factors mean that a security vulnerability or software defect could lead to disaster. Adopting informal and amateur methods for defect detection is impossible for producing high-quality software. Writing high-quality software requires systematic and standardized methods to prevent, identify, and report defects. This book demonstrates the work a successful software tester should undertake to ensure these annoying defects are discovered before users begin using the software. The main content of this book includes:
● Learning general methods of software development.
● Understanding how to apply software testing to the software development process.
● Learning basic techniques for testing software and discovering defects.
● Understanding how software testing techniques can be applied to software of any type, size, or complexity.
● Understanding why early defect detection is the purpose of testing and the best way to achieve this goal.
● Understanding why software has security vulnerabilities and how to discover them.
● Recognizing the limitations of software testing and the scope of defects it can uncover.
● Learning about some companies' strategies behind software testing.
● Understanding how to use different automated testing tools to enhance testing.
● Learning how to plan testing and track the testing process.
● Understanding how to tactfully report program defects to programmers.
● Understanding the development direction of the testing industry and how to stay ahead of it.
