Features: "Isotope Oceanography Research Collection" is a compilation of the research achievements of the Isotope Oceanography Research Group of the Department of Oceanography at Xiamen University over more than 40 years dedicated to isotope oceanography. This collection is planned to be published in 5 volumes initially, with this volume being the first: South China Sea. The isotopes applied include 2H, 3H, 14C, 15N, 18O, 40K, 137Cs, 210Pb, 226Ra, 234Th, 234U, 238U, etc. The main research contents include: (1) the distribution of 2H and 18O and their applications in physical oceanography; (2) the distribution of radium isotopes in seawater and their hydrological significance; (3) isotope tracing studies of key processes in the South China Sea carbon cycle; (4) the imbalance of 210Po and 210Pb and its significance for particulate matter cycling and export; (5) the distribution and geochemical behavior of nuclides in South China Sea sediments, etc.
