Can blood in semen be cured in a year?

Patient's question:

Patient is male, 27 years old, and has a history of chronic rhinitis.
1. Hematospermia
2. Painful urination (just occurred yesterday)
3. Pain in the metatarsal region

Doctor's answer:

Normal semen is a grayish-white liquid, and if the abstinence period is long, it may be light yellow. If blood in semen appears, it indicates a urinary and reproductive system inflammation. The causes of blood in semen, the most common being first seminal vesiculitis, followed by prostatitis, posterior urethritis, or posterior urethral congestion, etc. Generally, at least 70% of blood in semen cases in individuals under 30 are caused by inflammation. Seminal vesiculitis is primarily characterized by hematospermia during sexual intercourse, accompanied by symptoms such as reduced libido, premature ejaculation, mild perineal pain or a sense of fullness, painful ejaculation, frequent urination, and dysuria. During acute bleeding, sexual intercourse should be avoided, and rest is still recommended for 1-2 weeks after the blood in semen disappears. It is advised to seek medical attention promptly for examination and diagnosis, followed by effective treatment after a clear diagnosis.
