Features: Nyingchi County is located in the southeastern part of the Tibet Autonomous Region, in the high mountain gorges of the Himalayas and Hengduan Mountains. The total area of the county is 8,649 km2. The overall goal of Nyingchi County's natural forest protection is to implement comprehensive protection of natural forests, gradually reduce the timber output of natural forests, and implement balanced logging in specific areas, while strengthening the protection of ecological public benefit forests. Ultimately, achieve the effective restoration and protection of natural forest resources within the county, with timber production primarily relying on artificial forests. Establish a sound forestry production system and a reasonable forestry industry system in Nyingchi County, fully leveraging the important role of both natural and artificial forests in the sustainable socio-economic development of the county. Nyingchi County has accumulated a large amount of materials related to natural forest protection, such as the "Second-Class Survey Report on Forest Resources of Nyingchi County, Tibet Autonomous Region" and the "Ecological Environment Construction Plan for Nyingchi County, Tibet Autonomous Region." This book incorporates some content from these reports, and we express our heartfelt gratitude to the individuals and units who participated in the aforementioned work. It is worth mentioning that the completion of this book is inseparable from the support of the Nyingchi Prefecture People's Government, the Nyingchi Prefecture Development and Reform Commission, and the Nyingchi County People's Government. During the investigation and research, the governments at all levels provided strong support in terms of human resources and transportation.
