Features: "Interpreting Made Easy: Advanced Interpretation Skills Training and Practical Exercises for English, Japanese, French, German, and Russian" is one of the series of advanced interpreting textbooks titled "Interpreting Made Easy." This volume reflects the editorial philosophy of the series and follows its basic format. Starting from Unit 5, the authors provide two reference translations in the answer key. The first translation (one star) embodies the characteristics of interpreting, striving to remain faithful to the original text with simple and easy-to-understand vocabulary and relatively straightforward and coherent sentence structures. The second translation (two stars) adopts a combination of literal and idiomatic translation methods, focusing on the features of the target language and emphasizing norms. This approach, as far as we know, has not been seen in similar textbooks. The six themes in the textbook basically cover the main aspects of social life. For the same theme, the content is unified, but the materials are presented in a scattered manner, with these "points" distributed across the entire "surface" of the theme. When using the textbook and its materials, readers can proceed "step by step" or "select as needed." The main sentence structures of Russian-Chinese bilingual communication, as well as some common special expression structures in each language, are all reflected and explained in the textbook. Due to the rapid development of world politics, economy, culture, science, and technology, new phenomena and concepts are constantly emerging, along with a large number of new words and expressions. To some extent, the textbook reflects this phenomenon. Most of the materials are fresh in terms of content and language expression. Of course, stable and timeless vocabulary expressions, such as many words in cultural and historical categories, also have a place in the textbook.
