Features: Packaging Production is the sister volume to Packaging Design. Packaging Design focuses on design, aiming to enhance readers' artistic quality and cultivation through the appreciation of numerous classic packaging design works, broadening their horizons. In contrast, Packaging Production emphasizes the production aspect. Once designers have formulated packaging concepts and generated creative ideas, they use design software such as Photoshop, FreeHand, Illustrator, AutoCAD, and 3DSMAX to create the packaging. The finished designs are then sent to printing factories for film output, sampling, and finally printed and bound or laminated into finished products. This book summarizes the strengths of previous similar publications, starting from the basics and systematically introducing the use of packaging production software, the packaging production process, and the fundamentals of materials, colors, graphics, text, layout, and photography in packaging. It also covers the design of paper container structures and the techniques for creating packaging renderings. Finally, it discusses the types of packaging printing, printing elements, and the printing process. The appendix lists the types, uses, and specifications of packaging paper, as well as basic shape examples of packaging and specifications for paper sizes and quantities. This book follows the principle of simplicity and gradual progression. It first explains the theoretical foundations of packaging production, then provides detailed examples of packaging rendering creation. Each example includes three modules: image appreciation, appreciation notes, and production steps, presented clearly and concisely. A companion CD is included, containing: color illustrations, source files for all examples (in formats such as .psd, .ai, .eps, or .max), and all. This is one of the book's most distinctive features. The book is suitable for students of art and design, visual communication, and computer art majors across various art academies in China, as well as self-taught individuals in the field of art and design.
