Features: In the ever-changing flow of time and the irreversible process of life, classics are the words, sounds, and expressions that have conquered time. Those sincere statements, those fearless cries, and those reflections on the human spirit awaken our past hopes, inspire our current courage, and prevent us from being empty and vain, doubting the future. The figures of these wise people and the time-honored words they left behind purify our souls, shake our spirits, and teach us what can be missed but not forgotten, and what is fleeting yet precious. The Rain Alley is Dai Wangshu's early masterpiece and representative work. After its publication, it had a significant impact, and the poet was henceforth known as the "Rain Alley Poet." The poem depicts a gloomy scene of a Jiangnan alley during the rainy season, creating a lyrical atmosphere rich in symbolism. Here, the poet metaphorically represents the dark and oppressive social reality of the time as a long, narrow, and desolate "rain alley," devoid of sunlight, vitality, and life. The lyrical protagonist "I" is a wandering figure who walks alone in such an alley. Despite the solitude, "I" still harbors a longing and pursuit of beautiful ideals and hopes. The "girl like lilac" in the poem symbolizes this ideal. However, this ideal is faint and difficult to achieve. The author's essays and novels also carry a strong poetic flavor, allowing readers to feel as if bathed in a gentle breeze while also savoring the meaning of life amidst faint sorrow.
