Is there any other good treatment?

Patient's question:

It has been 13 days since my circumcision surgery, and the fine bandage wound has not healed.

Doctor's answer:

Edema after circumcision is a relatively common symptom. Mild swelling of the glans penis within 3 to 4 days after surgery is normal, although there is individual variation. The cause of edema is that, after circumcision, the blood circulation in the frenulum area is quite rich. Postoperatively, the blood and lymphatic vessels of the skin are cut, and new circulation pathways need to be established, which can lead to poor drainage for a period of time. Therefore, the edema that appears locally after surgery generally resolves within 2 to 3 weeks, though it may take up to 3 months or longer in some cases. However, there is no need to panic, as the swelling will naturally subside once the new circulation is established.
