When retracting the foreskin, there is bleeding and pain.

Patient's question:

When pulling down the foreskin, there is blood and it hurts. I only realized this when I went to the toilet in the morning.

Doctor's answer:

If one reaches adulthood and the foreskin opening is narrow, or the foreskin remains attached to the glans, preventing it from retracting to reveal the urethral meatus or glans, this is medically referred to as phimosis. If the foreskin can be retracted to expose the glans, but the foreskin opening is very small, covering the external urethral orifice, it is called phimosis. If there is a condition of hypospadias, the foreskin can be used for urethral repair. As a child grows, the foreskin can protect the glans and urethral meatus from accidental injuries.
