Features: As an important classic, the I Ching has its own lineage of transmission, and there are countless works dedicated to studying it. According to recent statistics, there are approximately 6,000 books with titles on the I Ching in history, and over 3,000 surviving editions. This book aims to clarify such complex threads while adhering to its own format, which sometimes necessitates omitting some necessary textual research to present conclusions directly. Additionally, two points should be noted:
1. In previous works on the I Ching, the concept of hexagram transformation has often been overlooked. Through the study of the I Ching’s Tuan Ci (Judgment Clauses), we found that about 30% of its content draws inspiration from hexagram transformation. Therefore, this book reveals the clues of hexagram transformation more extensively. This (clue) may guide us out of the fog and clarify many speculations.
2. The I Ching is a comprehensive system encompassing the four major elements: image (xiang), number (shu), principle (li), and divination (zhan). Neglecting or ignoring any one of these elements cannot fully explain its content. Among these, the understanding of xiang and shu is particularly confusing. Given this situation, this book focuses its interpretation on the textual research and explanation of the xiang and shu in the I Ching.
